Unlocking Game and Downloading Full Version

Hi,

I’ve been doing some research about the subject and haven’t found anything about it so here is my question: is there a way to publish a free version of our game (like 4-5 levels) and if the player likes it, he/she can buy it to play, like in Big Fish Games? If there is a way, how can I do that? [import]uid: 154911 topic_id: 36081 reply_id: 336081[/import]

You need to implement in-app purchases in the free version or make two different games, one a lite version with only 4-5 lvls included and then a pro/full version with all the levels. [import]uid: 226740 topic_id: 36081 reply_id: 143332[/import]

I think the “better way” (the way Apple wants it) would be to do it the IAP way. They may reject the Lite version for lack of content. Also they rejected me once because I offered a free version(with ads) of a paid app with a “no ads” button which would link you to the Appstore “paid” version. They rejected the free app and said I had to link it through IAP. [import]uid: 75779 topic_id: 36081 reply_id: 143340[/import]

Thank you for the answers but I couldn’t express myself right. My exact question is if I can host the full version as a DLC on Apple side and if the player likes the game, they can buy it via IAP and download the full version to play within the game. You simply need to lock the “paid stuff” in-game so they cannot access it unless they buy an in-app purchase that unlocks it. [import]uid: 226740 topic_id: 36081 reply_id: 143461[/import]

Thank you, I think I will try doing it like you said. [import]uid: 154911 topic_id: 36081 reply_id: 144139[/import]
