Uploading the same App, different language to App Store.

Hello.

We’ve made and published an App in the App store (and Google play) and now we’ve made a version of the App but in a different language, do I need to upload this App as a completely new app or can I somehow upload it as a version of the original app only with a different language?

Thanks.

Yuval.

Interesting question. I would think that a different app (new app) would need to be uploaded, as its contents are different.

I would just update the app version, & offer different language settings in the app. So i will only have 1 app to maintain.

Wish that was possible, but since languages differ so much we can’t have simply dynamic texts changes, but actually need to have whole parts of the graphics redone for each language to accommodate different word sizes and length, and that would mean an extra bundle of graphics for each language, I wouldn’t want to burden the English speaking user with an app 10 times the size so he’ll have 10 different languages to choose from.

But we’re probably going to have just a couple of “versions”, English, or “international” and Italian, our local market.
