URGENT: Facebook and iTunes app ID?

Hi,

I am literally preparing my app to be sent to Apple for review tonight (wet forehead right now!!) Anyway until today i was using someone else app Itunes ID to check that i an post scores on FB wall. It works great thanks to the GGFacebook lib!) But now I need to use my own iTunes app ID that apple gave me when I added an app to itunes account. But FB does not seems to accept my new app ID becsuse of course the app is not for sale yet (not even having the binary uploaded it)

What shall I do? Just relax, upload the binary to Apple and then say the app is ready for sale change the FB ID with my own? OR Panic!!

Thanks for any suggestions. I ma hoping to upload my first app in about an hour.

I’ve always just put the real one in before submitting so it should be fine. [import]uid: 119420 topic_id: 33577 reply_id: 133456[/import]

Yeah, you can put the real one on, but FB integration wont actually work until your app is live. [import]uid: 62706 topic_id: 33577 reply_id: 133465[/import]

Hey guys, thanks! I am little worried now. You mean putting the app iTunes code on facebook dev page right? If I tried to put it (the one given by apple) I cannot save the FB since the page check the app if the app is live on iTunes. But my app is in review. So I put someone else iTunes iD into the FB dev page until my app actually is live on the store.

I hope it ok. My thinking was that I soon my app is live, I will go and replace the app ID in FB dev page with my iTunes ID. I hope that will not change my FB key which is already embedded in the app code ( where I put something like fb123456789?

It is official, I am worried now that my app is already in review and the apple cutoff day of December 21th is fast approaching! Please tell me that I do not have to reject my binary!
Thanks again both of you and thank for all the help on integrating FB/TW. I truly appreciated.

If you want to continue to test and use the app before Apple releases it to the wild, just wait until you get the email saying they are starting the review process then change Facebook’s settings to your live App ID. There will be a few hours during the review process where you can’t use your installed version, but that’s not a big idea.

The important thing is that between when you submit it and it goes live, no customers are going to get their hands on the app. So having the currently invalid but soon to be valid AppID in the Facebook setup really is no problem. Just once you change it, you and your testers can’t use it until Apple makes your app live.
