User's music not playing during app

So my game doesn’t have in-game music, just a couple sound effects created with media.newEventSound(). The user wants to continue listening to their own music, and if they don’t like the sfx, there’s an option to turn them off. Some way to allow their music to continue playing with eventsounds? I know the feature of controlling music from iPod is on the roadmap, but this is a bit different i think.

I’d like to see my game have the option to be silent and let the ipod’s music play through.
