Using Illustrator CS5 to design graphics

HI. I’m relatively new to developing, and I’m having trouble getting the images I create on Illustrator to work when testing in the Corona Simulator. I didn’t have any trouble with free vector graphic programs like Inkscape, but I can’t get the images from Illustrator to work. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I would assume that they would, but they haven’t been for me. When saving in Illustrator there isn’t a direct option for PNG, only ai, eps, ait, pdf, xfg, svgz, and svgz. [import]uid: 39302 topic_id: 16508 reply_id: 61656[/import]

try export to psd for example, and after that save as png.

Illustrator is vector based, png is bitmap. So you have to convert the ai file first.

You have to export the files as png or you can export to photoshop and then save the images from there. Anyways, both methods works. [import]uid: 13560 topic_id: 16508 reply_id: 61688[/import]

You mean PNGs produced with Illustrator won’t load in Corona? [import]uid: 52103 topic_id: 16508 reply_id: 61645[/import]

have you tried the save for web option?
you can select png out from that [import]uid: 2131 topic_id: 16508 reply_id: 61700[/import]

Wow. Thanks everyone! The “Save for Web and Devices” worked. I should have asked a little earlier… [import]uid: 39302 topic_id: 16508 reply_id: 61731[/import]
