Using the Premium AdMob plugin on Amazon Kindle Fire

I’m looking into making a Kindle Fire version of my app - I know that I have to recreate my IAP’s within the Amazon dashboard but I was wondering if I have to do anything different with regards to my Google AdMob plugin.

I currently have ad’s working perfectly on iOS and Android - but when I go into the AdMob dashboard to add a new app I can only select between iOS and Android (or search the two main stores) - will the existing Android build just work on the Kindle FIre or is there something else I have to do to make it work as the documentation doesn’t seem to mention Amazon anywhere.

Thanks

Jon…

I know my builds just don’t work, but I have many extensions that depend on Google APIs. The old one worked on Amazon but I had to make sure to go into Admob make a new app (not link it to either store) and remove all app downloads. If during review Amazon sees an ad that prompts people to download an app from the play store it will be rejected.

Recently I tried RevMob with no luck. It doesn’t work without the Google APIs.

Ignore that advice… and go for it.  I publish on Amazon and use Vungle reward ads even though they don’t support Amazon. The ads play but no conversions obviously!

Saying that it depends if your revenue is ads or IAPs.  In my case it is IAPs and Amazon players convert even better than iOS players in regards to ARPPU. So the lack of conversions from ads is nothing to be worried about and certainly doesn’t affect the approval process if you don’t push ads (my ads are opt in only).

I just checked and the admob ads actually work. If I were you I would just change the keys and make sure you filter out all play store items. If you are like Adrianm and just use the ads for decoration then I wouldn’t even bother.
