The author, Jay, who took over Lime from the previous developer(s), recently posted an update in the Lime forum. You can follow the thread below. It might help you make your decision.

Aside from Lime, there aren’t any complete, fully-functional tile engines that I know about. I believe there are one or two in development as personal projects, but I’m not sure the status of them.

I am sure I read a while ago that Corona was actually going to have a level editor… what happened with that… it said coming soon for a while
