Is there going to be ( or is there currently ) a way to hide the .cider folder?
Yes the .cider folder will be removed in the next update, we no longer have any use of it.
Also the few lines cider adds at the top of the code (main.lua) is there a toggle to show / hide them? I think there hidden by default right?
It is currently not hidden by default but when the IDE detects the simulator has been closed it will automatically remove the require files so you may never see it. We don’t want to ever hide the library file because you will need to make sure it is not there when you are building your app for instance.

Yes! Cider is equivalent to Glider in all aspects except the name and logo. All current users will have the same benefits and all updates are free.
