Version 2393 is available only - not 2393A

Hello,

I am having trouble building my iOS app. I installed the provisioning file and double clicked the certificate file also to install. On the build screen it says the certificate is not installed. I went to this site and downloaded the latest version from the home page. It comes up as 2393. There is no A anywhere. Should there be?

I’m stuck.

Thanks,

Warren

Hi Warren,

From the download page, the link should read something like “CoronaSDK-2014.2393a.dmg”. If it’s not, then somehow you’re not getting the “a” version.

I guess I do have the right version cause the filename has the A but the version number on the first screen does not show it. I installed it again. I then tried to do a build and still says the certificate is not installed. I did it like I did before where I downloaded the provisioning file and certificate. Double-clicked on both and they installed. Then opened corona and says  certificate is missing.

I am using a macincloud account and using a different one from last time. Thats why I had to install these again but can’t get anywhere. the web page explaining the install is slightly different from how I do it cause of the macincloud. I do not have devices connected to the machine. I have them added in the provisioning file as before.

Am I supposed to do anymore than to double click each of these file to install on the mac?

Thanks,

Warren

Hi Warren,

I really can’t help with anything related to MacInCloud, as I’ve never used it. The version number on the first screen with not have an “a” in it (that’s normal). Did you clear out any previous provisioning profiles and certificates before installing the new ones?

Brent

Thanks. There were no other provisioning and certificate files on the machine. I just seem to remember double clicking them to install on the machine and thats all I had to do. I logged in my iOS account and downloaded the files again to use. I don’t know if because of the change with Apple that I needed to start over creating these files and then download and install.

Hi Warren,

Usually, when I need to “start over” with this kind of thing, I re-generate new certificates and profiles… I don’t just re-download existing ones. Remember, all of this stuff is tied in very closely with the system, the keychain, etc.

FWIW, I saw a message from MacInCloud that they just upgraded Corona SDK to 2393 on their machines.  If they just did that that in the past couple of weeks, they have 2393a.  An easy test is to create a new provisioning profile and see if it’s grayed out in the list.  If it’s grayed out, its 2393. If it’s not grayed out, its 2393a.
