I have in the past used Fraps with success, but whenever I try and capture video with the Corona Sim I do not meet with great success. If the SDK allowed for capturing of video - OR - if there is something else people recommend, please let me know.
Not only is video capture a great way to help debug real-world issues, but it’s good for marketing purposes as well.

I have always used ScreenFlow for my screen capture. It works great with the Corona Simulator and even lets you edit the video inside the program.

ScreenFlow records the entire screen – coming from Camtasia Studio I found that so incredibly stupid.
Until I started using it and realized it’s the *only* way that makes sense for a screen recorder. That way you don’t have to worry about making sure your window stays in the right spot, dialogs that pop up are cut half off, etc.
Record the entire screen and then either zoom in to what you want in the ScreenFlow editor, or set the margins to only show what you want. That’s what I did for my latest video last night.

It might seem odd to capture the entire screen when all you need is a tiny piece, but in practice it just makes sense.

Use the scroll on your mouse to zoom in and out – there’s probably a keyboard/menu way to do that but I always just use the mouse.
