MyTouch was the only Android device I have. Why was the skin removed? Is it just an unpopular item?

Somewhere in the forums, I remember Carlos mentioning that the myTouch is no longer supported since it is an Android 2.1 device.
In Walter’s recent “skingate” blog post, he adds at the end:

hmmm… so maybe I shouldn’t target a non supported device then… bummer, time to invest in an android device. Nook sounds interesting.
