Virtual Reality VR with Corona

i hope my question doesn’t sound stupid

i’m trying to make a VR game using Corona!!!

i know Corona is 2D, but what i’m planning to make is something simple … a game or a story of some kind without deep interaction

my plan is write some code that simply splits the screen into 2 identical halves … would that work

i know that the 2 splits should have a few difference to visualize the 3D thingee

but i’m not looking for that really … it is ok if it looks 2D without the 3D depth … but would just splitting the screen provide a clear picture for the user’s eye … if it works i believe great stuff can be made with corona … and it would be much faster than using the 3D engines … most VR games are boring and limited … with low quality graphics for performance issues … if it works with corona … i believe it would be great

Thanks

Are you looking to do stereoscopic 3D? Thats quite possible. Oculus type of 3D is likely a completely different realm.

Actually I want to do something 2D entirely
No 3D at all
Just to be displayed using VR headset
It should look cool specially for kids games
So basically it would be similar to any Corona game but the screen is always split in half equally so that both eyes can form one image

I do know that Corona doesn’t support more than 1 monitor on output. I had broached that subject once before. I

Building 2 images on screen, side by side should be easy enough. I don’t know how a VR headset would display a screen however.
