Volume Fine on iPad, extremely soft on iPhone

The build of my app using the most recent Corona build (2013.6.7) has normal volume on the iPad, but volume on my iPhone 4 is significantly lower than it has been in the past.

Anyone experiencing similar issues?

Thanks and all the best,

Jacob

Actually the speaker is inside a plastic casing that projects the sound outward. The speaker on the 3g is about where your z button shows up on the keyboard. You would have to slam a screwdriver through the glass above the home button to punture it. Not recommended! But i replaced mine with a chinese reproduction and it is much quieter than the original that came in my 3g.

This is not a hardware problem–it has been reported on other devices by our customers.

Thanks,

Jacob

I’m experiencing the same issue. My client isn’t happy. Any resolution yet?

Hi @mkelly,

To begin diagnosing this, we’ll need some more details, including at least:

– build # of Corona

– device that’s showing the issue (which iPad model? which iPhone model?)

– version of iOS on the device(s)

– type of audio file you’re playing

– code showing where you play it and how you’re setting the volume level

– etc.

Please supply these details and we’ll go from there.

Thanks,

Brent
