Vungle specific questions from a new user

First of all, I think the Vungle team should have its own forums in the Vungle page, so that I don’t have to put this topic here in Corona.

The questions are:

  1. I went through the first steps of the Vungle tutorial. At some point it asks me for a Game ID. Where do I find this game ID.

  2. As I didn’t have the game ID, I didn’t follow the rest of the tutorial, and therefore I don’t know what the payment methods for a foreigner (outside US) are. Can you enlighten me?

  3. Do I have to fill out that confusing .pdf form you have on your website, or is it simpler with the guidance of the tutorial like entering my bank account or paypal, and I’m ready to go?(This is related with the previous question).

EDIT: I’m aiming for the android platform so far and specifically Google Play market, not iOS. If that means anything.

Good news, we are working on creating our own forum which the community can participate. Thanks for validating that a Vungle forum would be helpful. We do try to be active in assisting in forums, while some cases are directly related to the specific product from a forum like Corona Labs Forums.  You can always send Vungle questions to tech-support(at)vungle.com if this is Corona related this forum is a great 1st place to start.

To answer your questions: 

  1. The game ID-  Android calls the package, in Vungle we call it the app ID sorry for any confusion there. If the application is not yet published to play store, then when adding the application in Vungle an automated app ID will be generated. That is, if you do not specify your (game ID,package ID, app ID) which you will use in Vungle integration. Using the search feature in Vungle - for your published application will pull the app ID/ package ID.

  2. Game ID is the package ID is the app ID. Yes, you will need to fill out the .pdf form. However, if you have questions or need help with the form, then you can contact - payments(at)vungle.com.
