Vungle versus Applovin

Hi guys,

I’d like to advertise my new game. Let’s say that I get around 5000 downloads.

The app has this kind of model:

  • When you die, you’ll have to option to watch an ad video to keep on playing.
  • When you start the game, you’ll sometimes get an intersitial ads (let’s say a 1/3 hit ratio)

I’ve heard amazing things about both companies, but I’ve also heard horror stories. So could you guys share you experiences?

Kind regards

Bram

Can’t speak much about either, but why don’t you implement both, run them 50/50, and compare the results yourself?

Hi Jon,
I’m definitely going to do that. But first I’d like to know how both networks perfom. Because if they don’t perform that well, I could maybe search another network

Kind regards
Bram

The thing with mobile ads is that things are very dynamic.  For instance, you and I could see very different results from the same network even if we have the same number of users.  It’s always better to test for yourself.  Also, I would recommend testing each network for at least a week or so.  Each one has it’s own algorithm and it takes some time for it to “learn” you app and users.

I have had better luck with Applovin, but as they said above. It really depends.

There is some data here for other ad networks:
