what are warning points in the forums

Oh, yeah, I see 0 warning points under mine too.  I guess you can only see your own warning points.  It must be one of the new Forum features where warned users, if any, will be able to see the number of warning racking up…

That’s what I thought but is corona using it and if so what do we need to make sure we don’t do other then the obvious

The forums support a way of policing people.  Like if someone flags your content you could get a warning point, or if a moderator thinks you’re doing bad things, they can give you a warning.  After so many warning points the software can start auto-moderating your posts, or locking you out, etc.   I think its a field that should be for moderator’s eyes only, but this software seems to want to make it visible for everyone.

At the moment, we are not using the points system and are manually dealing with violations, but that doesn’t mean we won’t use it in the future.  So for now it’s clutter and you can ignore it.

For the most part, this community is pretty well behaved and the new forums handles spam much better.  We would much rather spend out time helping people with questions than having to police the forums.
