way to access native code?

Is there a way (or is it planned) to be able to create a native library and access it from Corona? For example, say I wanted to do some sophisticated audio manipulations (filtering etc.), but build the project in Corona. Would there be a way to create a library for that, and then access the library from within Corona?

We are exploring ways of doing this but at this stage we are not supporting native library access. Perhaps in the near future we will.
