If I want to know something regarding a function or part of the SDK, the Doc pages are my first port of call (to such an extent, that I’d argue they render the API pages obsolete). I’ll often then scan through the comments to see if anyone’s shared something useful - however that’s a big note directing people to only ask questions in the forums, which seems cumbersome.
The forums are vast and it’s not always easy to find information in them, while the Doc pages deal with very specific information and the questions on them tend to be useful.
I’d really like to see someway of combining the two. Whether it’s a quick link to a subsection of the forums dedicated to that particular element of the SDK, or something else entirely.
The existing comments are a great idea, but my natural instinct is to use them to ask questions. I know I’m not the only one, so it makes sense to me to shape the functionality of the pages around the expectations of the users. [import]uid: 11757 topic_id: 10267 reply_id: 310267[/import]
