Weird Error/Crashing Issue

Hello,

I have been working on a project for a while and all of the sudden the following output began to appear in the Terminal when selecting a photo from my Mac’s file system

[lua]

2013-10-01 13:28:05.785 Corona Simulator[466:707] glError at end unbindRenderFBO

2013-10-01 13:28:05.785 Corona Simulator[466:707] glCheckFramebufferStatus error at end unbindRenderFBO

[/lua]

I then tried again and the following output appeared

[lua]

/Applications/CoronaSDK/Corona Terminal: line 9:   493 Bus error: 10           “$path/Corona Simulator.app/Contents/MacOS/Corona Simulator” $*

[/lua]

The simulator then crashes.

Figuring it was something with my code, I tried it with the default PhotoPicker code on both the latest daily build and the Public Release. I got the same results.

I’m starting to think it’s something with my Mac. Does anyone know what this is or how to fix it?

Thank you

Hi Dale,

Does this occur with all photos, or just a specific photo (or photos in a particular directory). What size is this photo, in MB or dimensions? Is there anything “unusual” about it? Whatever detailed info you can provide may help resolve this.

Thanks,

Brent

Brent,

I tried five different JPEGS in three different directories with the same result. The first was 280 KB, the second was 700 KB, third was 1.7 MB, fourth was 2 MB, and fifth was 3 MB. I am not able to test a PNG because they are all greyed out in the file browser. That seems a bit strange doesn’t it?

Thanks.

Brent,

It appears I’m not the only one experiencing this issue. I believe this thread describes the same issue.

Thanks again

It happens when the dialog window is set to thumbnail view. If the dialog window is set to list view at least you can work.
If you change from thumbnail to list view it will fail too. It has to be launched with list view set.

I think they could figure this bug out. It was a mistery

@noeguer

That appears to fix it! Thank you very much.

Brent, should I file a bug report regarding this issue?

Thank you

Hi all,

No need to file a bug report, we’re checking into this now…

Thanks,

Brent
