Weird issue with Sleeping Physics Bodies

I was making a sample app to play around and I noticed some strange behavior with Physics bodies sleeping even though the isSleepingAllowed is set to false.

It utilizes the accelerometer to change the gravity based on the tilt. However if the soccer ball comes to a full stop in a corner of the surrounding box and then you wait a few seconds, it doesn’t seem to be affected anymore by gravity. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
