well just wanted to know what my fellow developers do as a hobby! besides making apps, im into remote control cars. yes. its pretty funny. [import]uid: 19836 topic_id: 6212 reply_id: 306212[/import]
Well, I guess these days my hobbies are kinda like this:
if atWork ~= true then
if isWeekend == true then
takeKidsToPlayground()
helpBathFeedPutKidsToBed()
hangOutWithWife()
beforePassingOutTryAndDoSomeCoronaProgramming()
else
getHomeFromWork()
helpBathFeedPutKidsToBed()
hangOutWithWife()
beforePassingOutTryAndDoSomeCoronaProgrammingButMostLikelyJustPassOut()
end
else
gotoWork()
end
Oh but many years ago probably like this:
if amWake == true and amSingle == true then
programInSomeCodingLanguageOrPlaySomeGame()
gotoBed()
end
My love for coding is a juggling act these days!

I have always wanted to get into remote control cars, but I’m only 14 and when I went to my local hobby shop, the cheapest decent one was $225…
Anyway, I am an avid snowboarding fanatic. If I could do one thing in the world for the rest of my life, it would be to snowboard. It’s also the reason I fractured my wrist in early january.
When I release my first app made with Corona, I can say it was created single handedly… lol [import]uid: 7116 topic_id: 6212 reply_id: 21602[/import]
whoa im 14 too!!! yeah remote control cars are pretty expensive, mine was $184. [import]uid: 19836 topic_id: 6212 reply_id: 21689[/import]
Did I write 14? lol, no I’m 15, but still
Which car do you have? I was looking into the Traxxas Rustler (elec) for $225 [import]uid: 7116 topic_id: 6212 reply_id: 21821[/import]
oh i have the traxxas bandit, which is like the rustler. but $225? wow. thats expensive. here if you want a rustler you could try here.
ebay has some for pretty decent prices. [import]uid: 19836 topic_id: 6212 reply_id: 21840[/import]
I don’t have much time for hobbies as such, unless you consider Techority a hobby - most days I work on apps or learning more about Corona/Lua and then try to help people via email and write tutorials. (Although I’ve been slack with that lately.)
I used to really enjoying playing games but have been taking a break from that as I’d rather be productive ^-^;
The one “hobby” or non-app-related thing I do is once or twice a month I try to watch some movies with my partner. Typically horror [import]uid: 10144 topic_id: 6212 reply_id: 21921[/import]
My family and I lived on the road for a couple of years recently – here’s a picture of us when we hit Bakersfield, CA. You can see what our “family hobby” is.

Now that we’re settled in one spot for the moment it seems like we don’t do it much any more. *sigh*

@ Lilarcor love it.
I’ll have to get someone around here to clone that code for me… [import]uid: 13859 topic_id: 6212 reply_id: 22301[/import]
So much love for remote-controlled cars here that I wanted to share a video I made – by taping my iPhone to my remote-controlled car, then hitting the phone’s Record button! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdErFWzitew [import]uid: 10284 topic_id: 6212 reply_id: 23853[/import]
Well my current hobby right now is obviously Corona and my website
www.thiscollege.com
