What desktop or screen recorder works best to capture video of the Corona Simulator

Hello,

I’ve been trying to record video of the game I’m making by using multiple desktop recorders to record the simulator. But all the results are very laggy. I have tried many free desktop recorders and all of them produce that result, even with custom settings.

Here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJiyMUgaPTc

(Note: I have a very powerful computer with an 4th gen i7 and 16gb of RAM, so specs shouldn’t be the problem)

Is there a (free) desktop recorder that works well with the Corona Simulator? How else could I achieve my goal?

I use Jing. The only issue is that the free version only outputs swf files.

For me it doesn’t work well. It’s still all laggy

I’m on a Mac, and I’ve had good luck with SnapZ Pro.  It’s a pay solution, but I like it.  The other one I use is ScreenFlick.

Thanks, but I have a Windows PC.

You could try active presenter, there is a free edition which works well;

My Screen Recorder is a better screen recording software. It records your screen and audio from the speakers or your voice from the microphone - or both simultaneously. The recordings are clear and look great when played back on your PC or uploaded to YouTube. It will record directly to standard compressed format that works with any video editor or any tool, no conversion required. Should work great on the corona simulator
