what do I need to include for submitting

I’m just in the process of finishing off my first app but just want to double check what I need to include in my build for submitting

My app will be for iphone and ipad

so I know I will need the icons in my build for these devices and I remember reading somewhere that you should include a screenshot of your menu screen? in your build for loading purposes (think it needs to be called default??)

is there any thing els that needs to be bundled up into the build??

can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial or list of things needed??

Hi @RJ5,

These guides outline essentially everything you need to do, pre-submission:

http://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/basics/configSettings/index.html

http://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/distribution/buildSettings/index.html

And then, for the actual build process (if you’ve never done it before):

http://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/distribution/iOSBuild/index.html

Best regards,

Brent Sorrentino

thanks it was the launch images part that I needed

Have just submitted my app and have got the following message back from apple

Though you are not required to fix the following issues, we wanted to make you aware of them:

Missing recommended icon file - The bundle does not contain an app icon for iPhone / iPod Touch of exactly ‘120x120’ pixels, in .png format.

Missing recommended icon file - The bundle does not contain an app icon for iPad of exactly ‘76x76’ pixels, in .png format.

Missing recommended icon file - The bundle does not contain an app icon for iPad of exactly ‘152x152’ pixels, in .png format.

what are these for??

theres no details about these on the http://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/distribution/buildSettings/index.html page

as far as I can see I just need the following

icon.png - 57x57 - iPhone icon

icon@2x.png - 114x114- iPhone Retina icon

icon-72.png - 72x72- iPad icon

icon-72@2x.png - 144x144- iPad Retina icon

icon-small-50.png - 50x50- iPad search

icon-small-50@2x.png - 100x100- iPad Retina search

icon-small.png - 29x29- iPhone search

icon-small@2x.png - 58x58- iPhone Retina search

so what are the 3 icons apple are on about… and what do I need to call them??

Hi @RJ5,

There are 2 new app icon sizes and 1 new spotlight icon size (optional) that Apple will request for iOS7. I will be updating our Project Build Settings later today to reflect this change.

Best regards,

Brent Sorrentino

Trying to submit an update to one of my apps, any clue to  what are the 3 icons apple are on about… and what do I need to call them?

thanks larry

Hi Larry,

Here’s Apple’s documentation on it, which will be updated into the Corona guide:

Hi Brent

Thanks for that link, its annoying that apple didnt say give any of info in their or update their own iOS Human Interface Guidelines.

At least I know now

it is free to publish to android, but to publish to iOS you need a developer license from Apple

you can buy one here - https://developer.apple.com/programs/

costs $99 a year

this is an Apple charge not one from corona

$99 a year for the account… you can then publish unlimited apps

if you only publish 1 app it costs a bit… but if you published 4-5 apps a year its only $20-25 for each one, so it doesnt work out that much

Ok thanks so much
