What happened to the Corona Sample?

I was browsing the corona samples and two samples are now missing.

  1. the sample that corona created with the video inside the crates playing and acting at physics objects

  2. the sample where the create 1,000 dancing sprites on the screen

I know they were there because at one point I was looking at the code.

I would like to see the example of the many video crates aging please…

thanks

Larry

Hi Larry,

These sample projects get moved around sometimes, and honestly, we’re trying to figure out a better way to organize them at the base since it’s not always clear where a certain sample resides.

As for the ones you need:

  1. “Video Crates” is located in: SampleCode > Interface > VideoViewPhysics

  2. “Dancers” is located in: SampleCode > Sprites > SpriteTilesComplex (or just SpriteTiles).

“Video Crates” is located in: SampleCode > Interface > VideoViewPhysics

is no longer there…

has this been removed?

Hi Larry,

I see “VideoViewPhysics” in the place indicated, in both Build #1137 and the new #1202.

Best regards,

Brent

I don’t see it in #1202 either…

Hi Larry, @develephant,

Sorry for the confusion; I see you’re using Windows. Since this demo uses “native.newVideo()” which isn’t supported on Android, it’s not included in the Windows build. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Sincerely,

Brent
