What is all of your computer specs? I’m trying to decide if the cheapest mac mini will be ok. I know little about them, as I’m more of a PC guy.

Yup. I use a Mac Mini at home. Works like a charm for me. [import]uid: 11904 topic_id: 5415 reply_id: 18145[/import]
Mac Mini is the best solution for low-cost mac buy if you already have screen and keyboard. (a mac keyboard can’t hurt tho) [import]uid: 1058 topic_id: 5415 reply_id: 18153[/import]
mid 2010 27" iMac, i3 3.2GHz, 4GB RAM
mid 2009 13" MacBook, Pro C2D 2.53GHz, 4GB RAM [import]uid: 10267 topic_id: 5415 reply_id: 18298[/import]
I’m using the cheapest version of the latest Mac Mini and it works very well with Corona (Plus it makes a pretty awesome Home Theather). It chugs a little if I’m also doing graphics and have lots of open tabs in firefox. I guess a RAM upgrade couldn’t hurt… [import]uid: 10835 topic_id: 5415 reply_id: 18329[/import]
A IMAC 24" from 2008. Sadly the internal harddrive died a few months ago but I run in on an external harddrive till I can afford to fix the machine.
Today I would go with an 21" Imac. They cost as much as an Mini with an extra screen and keyboard. [import]uid: 5712 topic_id: 5415 reply_id: 18374[/import]
Dang I just can’t decide on one that I want. I want one less than 750$. I found a few 600$ range iMac. The only real requirement i should be worried about is the intel based one correct?
I have 3 pc monitors on my main computer. Though, I don’t really want to sacrifice one to my Mac, as I also use them for 3d jewelry design… Or if I get one on amazon I saw one for 509$ Mac mini and I could buy an extra monitor and keyboard… Ergh! I wish I knew more about macs! [import]uid: 22559 topic_id: 5415 reply_id: 18725[/import]
