when building for iPad, iphone app is created

When I build my application for device, iphone/ipad, with device compatibility iPad, my app builds normally and in iTunes it is seen as an iPad app but when I look at it on my iPad it is displayed as an iPhone app and the scaling is as for iphone.

Anybody any idea what could be the problem?

Thanks,

Ferry

There’s no universal iPhone/iPad builds in Corona yet. It’s in the “High Priorities” in the Roadmap, but it should be at the top now since Apple doesn’t allow duplicate apps ( no HD apps just because) [import]uid: 10426 topic_id: 3708 reply_id: 11310[/import]

Sorry maybe I’ve misread. So you built your app for iPad-only but got an iPhone-like app (with the x2 button) in your iPad? [import]uid: 10426 topic_id: 3708 reply_id: 11312[/import]

Yes I build my app for ipad only but got an iphone like app with the 2x button in my iPad.
I fixed it now by setting the content width and height in config.lua so now it doesn’t show as a iphone app any more but I still have a problem with the background images I use they scale smaller than the screen size on the ipad but not in Corona.

Any ideas?

I came here to ask about ipad+iphone apps; I was surprised to see this text:

“The application icon for iPhone should be a 57 x 57 PNG image file (or 72 x 72 for iPad). It should have the name Icon.png and be located in the assets project folder.”

on this page:

It left me wondering why the either/or mechanism was ever implemented at all.

By the way, the “roadmap” link above, does not work.
