Oh NO
hi Syeos:
In my side , it seems good right now before about two weeks ago.
But you should make sure you use RevMob SDK > 5.2.0 and daily build support IDFA
Yup corona 2013.’ Last week daily build
Revmob 5.2.1
Live apps with pre udid show installs
Post UDID ban live apps 0
I’ll have to look in my code to verify the Build number of RevMob bit I am pretty sure it is 5.2.1 and whatever version of corona ( i think 1095 ) . I never changed after that, and I have now started seeing Clicks and Installs in my account.
So far in last 30 days I have $21 bucks with 2274 impressions 883 clicks and 7 installs.
not sure why other people are not seeing installs / clicks.
But thanks RevMob at least from me
Yes, it is working, thanks everybody anyway.
Ok fingers crossed.
It seems work fine before about 2 weeks ago.
But , Today the install count for iOS seems a little stranger for me .
It almost freeze about 12 hours ago .
Is anyone have the same case ?
Ya… same for me here. Installs are low today. Maybe just a delay in reporting again.
I hope so…
Confirming for the last time guys, does RevMob 5.2.1 work 100% now using the latest daily build of Corona SDK (1134, 1135, etc.)?
They become better about 2 weeks ago.
but It seems become worse on iOS form 2 days ago .it almost no install count . (IR form 0.6% drop to below 0.1%)
I still no idea is my personal problem or system problem .
need more RevMob user confirm .
I really afraid the IDFA mis-match problem show up again …
Hey all
I tried to get other devs to test using my app and then track the installs but only 2 fellow devs got back to me.
With the lack of info all I can tell at the moment is that 5.2 is working on IOS 6 but I dont think installs are reporting for IOS 5 devices.
I have try it on iOS 5 . It can not track install . Because iOS 5 do not support IDFA . it will got null value
After the post from Revmob saying that everything is now ok, I submitted a build using Corona 1127 and Revmob 5.2.1. It has been out for 4 days and I still have no tracked installs. So it still doesn’t work.
Some of the earlier posts mentioned creating a new Revmob app ID. Is that the solution?
according to my personal trial . this is not a solution.
OK, thanks for letting me know. I’m not sure what to do now…
Hi Everyone,
During the last month many of you experienced low eCPMs due to problems in the install tracking and we failed to deliver support and explanation for such problems in a timely manner.
Unfortunately on every other platform that RevMob offers support for monetization we had time to prepare for a non-UDID tracking transitioning from UDID to MAC address to finally IDFA. With Corona we never had access to the MAC address and had to jump straight to IDFA and this caused major problems tracking installs. Since Monday we are capable to track all installs using only the IDFA so we strongly suggest that all our Publishers using Corona updates to a Build above 1095 and SDKs of version 5.2.0 or newer.
After performing a root cause analysis, we can safely say that if Corona allowed access to all the identifiers from the start, none of this would have happened and all of us would have had a higher revenue. The best we can do in the future is to make sure Corona is a transparent engine that gives developers access to all the relevant data points. In other words, thanks to Corona’s decision to block access to and hash crucial device identifiers, we are all paying the price.
Sincerely,
RevMob Team
Thanks to Revmob team, Corona is not a good sdk, I won’t develop new app by Corona anymore…
Hey Jan (and everyone else on the thread here),
I’d like to clear something up here. This is the first time I hear from RevMob about any issue they have had with Corona and the identifiers we provide. I know for a fact that no one on the team has heard about this either. As you all know, we have been very clear about what identifiers we provide and which ones we have deprecated - and it has all been driven by changes in the industry and decisions by Apple. These have not been arbitrary decisions by Corona Labs.
In fact, I don’t think any Corona developers, nor any of our *actual* monetization partners, have had any issues with this.
Furthermore, the last changes we did around this happened weeks ago.
So, Jan, I would please request that in the future, when you think you are having problems caused by Corona, you email me and I’ll see if I can help. But blaming your problems on us is not fair at all.
Again, I’m happy to help. Just be sure to contact us next time if you have questions.
Thanks,
David
This is getting frustrating. Emailed RevMob and pointed them to this thread but they’re not responding at all. We’re stuck and we can’t update our apps because doing so may just affect our ad revenues.
