Where can I get graphic / sprites, etc from?

Hi,

I’m not very good at creating graphics, and too be honest don’t enjoy trying to create them.

I just want to go to a library search for the type of sprite I want and then pay / download it (in a similar way to istockphoto, but for sprites).

Does anyone know of any good resource for obtaining gaming graphics?

You can find free art at Opengameart.org, and you can find pixel artists to hire at PixelJoint.

I also like the graphics found here: http://www.graphic-buffet.com

And doing searches on “game” “platformer” and the like will bring up many options here: http://outlawgametools.com/likes/graphicriver (another aff link)

Be aware of licensing restrictions. For example, that first set of sprites can be found on Graphic River, but the license terms are *VERY* different – GR terms are very restrictive.
