where did the iTunes app list go?

hi, I’ve just updated my app and want to test it. I’ve attached my iPad and plugged it in but the app list for my iPad doesn’t show up in iTunes (12.7) the way it used to. I still have 12.6 installed on my laptop so am using that, but anyone know how we are supposed to install apps on test devices now?

thanks.

Apple removed it from the App.

You need to rollback to an older version of the App if you want it.

I’m running 12.1 which still has it.

I’ve always used the application loader, not iTunes.

I have always side-loaded with xCode and uploaded with app loader.

You can’t install straight to the device using Application Loader, can you? Or do you mean you upload to Testflight and then install from there?

Same here, I used iTunes to side load my apps to iOS devices during development and Application Loader for TestFlight and production. Does anyone know a way to side load devices now that Apple has taken “apps” out of iTunes?

Apologies, that is correct.  Application Loader is for uploads to store and I used xCode to install apps on my device.

Its been a little while since I did any iOS work.

That said, let me repeat I’ve never use iTunes for sideloading, always xCode (not app loader as I mis-stated earlier).

If memory serves, xCode has a ‘device’ window (or something like that) onto which you can drag-and-drop the built app.

Learn something new every single day! After all these years, I have never used xCode to side load. Just tried it and it works great!

thanks, didn’t realize one could use Xcode for this.
