Where do I start learning from?

Hi,

I just downloaded the Windows version and have it running. I looked under Resources of the site ans saw some tutorials that I assume are on tweeter. Are there any others? I mean some basic tutorials such as a Hello World one.

Thanks,

Warren

Have you tried going to google.com and searching for

Corona SDK Tutorials?

There are hundreds of them and Google is the best place to find them.

For NEWBIES I have to say that there is not better than http://www.techority.com by Mrs. Peach Pellen.

Start out from there and surely you will see the light on the final of the tunnel.

As above plus http://www.cheetomoskeeto.com/ also his tutorials Dr. Rafael Hernandez on YouTube
(his tutorials are what got me interested in Corona). I started with simple games (pong, breakout) then added scoring, sound and AI to these games. The best thing to do is learn some basic areas (e,g. scrolling background, collision detection, adding images etc) which won’t take long. Then try and create a game using what you’ve learnt. Also don’t be afraid to ask for help

Thanks for the shoutout Rodrigo  Parts 1 - 4 of Corona for Newbies are the best way to start, IMHO. (I wrote them but have had great feedback.) [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 32303 reply_id: 128704[/import]

@Peach, you`re more than welcome and also I have to say that without learn the basics from Techority.com it would be much worse to keep the motivation as learning as well.

Thanks for you as usual.

+1 for cheetomoskeeto/Dr. Rafael Hernandez on YouTube.

I managed to follow them all easily enough, and had never used Lua before (if you haven’t done any programming of any kind though you might need to look a few things up). [import]uid: 84115 topic_id: 32303 reply_id: 128753[/import]
