Where to find good Videogame Sounds?

Wanted to see if anyone had any good sources for videogame sounds. Stock sounds, custom sounds or even a way to make your own sounds.

Some great sounds, some good sounds and some awful sounds. But open source and there are tons of them.

FreeSound as mentioned is my main external resource, then mixing them together via Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net … but note for certain sounds you can also directly record yourself with a mic. For instance, the rattling of an armor can be created quickly by putting a pot in a pot and rattling them, you get the idea, then apply some post editing on the sound or overlay several of your recorded effects.
