Hello everybody,
This is the very first time i make a game. I have no idea where to find sound files for my game, like background sounds, impact sound when some objects hit some other objects, e.g. wood cracking, broken, rock broken, animals’ sounds ect… Are there any sites that give audio files for free, for commercial purposes. Can i you create , for example an animal’s sound with a software? Do you guys use any software to create or edit sounds for game? Sorry for my English. Thanks.

I absolutely recommend the (8Bit) sound generator SFXR by DrPetter!
http://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html
http://thirdcog.eu/apps/cfxr (mac port)
I used it for many years and in many of my games yet - it creates absolutely free-to-use sounds.
In some cases, the 8Bit-approach doesn’t fit, so I use the generated sounds as a base, mixing different layers, using effects like reverb etc. to make the sounds more “natural”.

EDIT: there’s also an open source iOS port
