if (switch.id == “switchVibrate”) then
If I place the cursor in front of the ‘if’ word above, and hit DELETE, Glider deletes the ‘i’ and ‘f’!
WHAT?!?!

I noticed this too. Can be annoying at times.
Hello Everyone,
We can understand this is a very frustrating issue! It is another one of those endless Mac bugs introduced by Oracle with the Java 7 mess.
https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=219853
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=7154512
We are seriously considering backporting everything to Apple’s Java 6. Although that can take quite a while, it is probably worth it for all our Mac users.
Regards,
M.Y. Developers
Unless by the time you get it backported the issue gets resolved in Java 7
Hello John,
How often does this bug occur? When it occurs is it recoverable? Does this also occur in windows?
They very well may be resolved, and for the most part many of these bugs are solved. But the java 7 update is scheduled for late August. So we really have 3 options here

This bug occurred EVERY time I hit the delete key yesterday but today its working as expected. Weird.
I do not have Windows.
This bug happens during longer sessions. I get it on a daily basis. The thing I do to “solve” it is restart Glider. Then it will work for a bit.
Hello,
Seems to be a well known netbeans bug they have not fixed yet.
https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=225056
https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=219853
Please upload the logs when this happens, we might be able to help them find/fix the problem. What’s even more frustrating is the Java guys have marked this one as “not reproducible” in their bug database. Perhaps a screenshot/video would convince them otherwise?
Regards,
M.Y. Developers
I haven’t had this bug for a while after keeping up-to-date with Glider updates, but after updating today June 8th this bug is back. I’m using macosx 10.7.5.
Java env:
java version “1.7.0_21”
Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_21-b12)
Java HotSpot™ 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.21-b01, mixed mode)
Hello BoarK,
It is strange that the update will cause this bug, I cannot think of anything we changed that would cause this to come back. Does the error go away when you restart it?
Regards,
M.Y. Developers
M.Y Developers,
Yes, back to normal after the restart.
I noticed this too. Can be annoying at times.

Ah the delete 2 chars bug is back! Is there any news of fix so I don’t have to keep restarting Glider?
I’m still trialling Glider, it’s a potentially great product but the CPU lock and delete 2 chars bug kills my productivity!
