Windows Phone 7 support?

Hello,
We are looking forward to hearing from Ansca Mobile about the supporting plan for Microsoft’s “Windows Phone 7” OS.

Thank you. [import]uid: 9190 topic_id: 4470 reply_id: 304470[/import]

The answer is no support for windows 7 in the short term. If WP7 opens up to native development, maybe.

I hope you don’t mind that I disagree khanh.do but my personal opinion on WP7:

  1. WP7 is still in it’s infancy as a platform
  2. Silverlight for WP7 with Expression Blend is ridiculously easy to develop for. iOS SDK is a joke by comparison.
  3. WP7 XNA is not that much harder than Corona, and has plenty of support due to similarities with XNA
  4. Expression Blend and Visual Studio Express are free

Based on points 2,3,4 I wouldn’t use Corona for WP7 even if Ansca did choose to support it. I would rather they spend their resources making Corona better for iPhone and Android.

Again thats just my two cents… [import]uid: 11393 topic_id: 4470 reply_id: 14363[/import]

After a year…

Are there any news on supporting Windows Phone 7?

By the way, are you thinking to allow the developement of games to run in a browser (like the old flash) ?
