Nice job! I did not realize you were developing with Corona. I just reviewed your app (as clint205). I have the current high score as well  [import]uid: 79834 topic_id: 22381 reply_id: 89251[/import]

Ah so your the one beating me! Wonder Witches is actually a pretty fun app. Simple to understand and learn, but still entertaining. I also liked how you have the background changing as you get farther instead of just the same thing the whole time. I also like how the clouds are actually in front of the witch and obstacles to add an extra challenge instead of just something moving in the background. @scottadelman: Haha, I had just replied on the other thread - I like the sound effects of kids trucks and wanted to know where you got them from! I’m using soundsnap.

@ertzel, Thanks! Yes, the background transitions and clouds are something that I am a bit proud of :), because it’s a bit distinguishing to most side scrollers out there! Thanks to Corona’s transition object the changing background was a piece of cake!

Pretty fun! Left you 5 stars and feedback. Did you use any of the level builder tools to create this?

Sid [import]uid: 7475 topic_id: 22381 reply_id: 89265[/import]

@Sid: Thanks for the feedback.

The design is simple and there was no need for a level editor. Depending on the difficulty setting, after a random period of time a new pole is created and moved along the screen as kinematic physics objects. The further you progress the shorter the time for creating new new poles gets. [import]uid: 118947 topic_id: 22381 reply_id: 89309[/import]

@wunderwuzzi - The game is just very fun!

Placed my highscore there and rated it 5Star as well.
Pretty nice one.
Congrats for sure,
Rodrigo. [import]uid: 89165 topic_id: 22381 reply_id: 89350[/import]

Thanks @RSCdev and LeivaGames! Appreciate the kind words.

LeivaGames, if you have some recommendations on where to get great songs/background music, please let me know. So far I have been using soundsnap to get my sfx.

Thanks Sid, Yes, I like the idea of music in the background!

I also just shipped it for Android Marketplace - wow, it’s basically submit and go! Available within a few minutes!

I really would like to thank the Ansca folks for making Corona. Porting Wonder Witches over from Windows Phone 7 was really simple and straight forward and being able to ship for both iOS and Android with one code base is just amazing!

My nephew has an Android phone and this port is really mainly for him!

Nice to see its on the Android now, I’ll download it and rate it there also. Just set the High Score in Game Center on the iOS version using Old Straw! [import]uid: 69700 topic_id: 22381 reply_id: 89571[/import]

Thanks, wow! So you are the one with the awesome score! Pretty impressive!

I’m thinking of my next project… it might be a follow up to my the very first game I ever created called “Hero - rescue vicky!”, but now with witches instead of a rocketeer!
