Working with Android Studio IDE on Mac...

I just installed the Android Studio IDE on my Mac and now I noticed this needs the Java Development Kit version 7.0 and I don’t know if installing this will cause problems with Corona?

Is it safe to do this?

I think multiple versions / libs can live on the same machine.
