I know this has been talked about before, the Xbox live creators collection is now live on xbox with simple certification for uwp developed games, is there any plan to support uwp in the roadmap?
Microsoft makes a win32.exe to UWP converter. However, you have to produce a .msi (Microsoft Installer) file and you likely will have to sign your app. Signing your app requires a certificate that’s around $300-$400 a year. Easy tools to make .msi files can run $1000 or more. There is a free tool, but it’s very difficult to configure.
I do need to remind everyone that we are a small team with limited engineering capacity. We have to pick and choose what we work on. Adding new platform support is extra challenging and for now, we feel getting HTML5 going is more important than other platforms.
As Scott mentioned, it only has 124 votes which won’t be nearly enough to move it on to the roadmap.
