xcode simulator

I have built an app for the Xcode simulator, How do I now load it into the xcode simulator?

Corona SDK should launch the simulator for you automatically.  It will be on page 2 of the apps, but should start up automatically.  The Xcode simulator is kinda slow, so give it a few minutes before you start clicking on things.

Rob

Understatement of the year. Is there a particular reason why it’s sooooo slow?

With no offence intended towards Corona, if your simulator can run at full speed, why can’t Apple’s run at the same speed on their own machines?

In fairness to Apple, the Xcode simulator is very close to emulating actual hardware.  The Corona simulator only gets you close enough as far as positioning things on the screen.  All that extra hardware emulation that we skip makes a difference.

Rob

for me the simulator does not open. Is there another way? Only doing this so I can take snap shots of my App, unless there is a better way?

You might want to make sure your Xcode is installed correctly.  You can also look in your Mac’s Console app to look at the system log and see if there are errors you’re running into.

Rob

Thank you Rob, after reading the logs I found the issue and posting the link here:
