xOrigin, yOrigin

Seems the xOrigin and yOrigin act exactly the same as setting x and y. IS this correct or am I missing something? [import]uid: 98652 topic_id: 17144 reply_id: 317144[/import]

Hey there,

See here for a proper description: http://developer.anscamobile.com/content/objectxorigin

Is it just me, or is that page that Peach linked to completely non-descriptive in terms of providing useful information? I don’t get how x & xOrigin are different at all from reading that page??

Does anyone have a clear example of the benefits of using xOrigin?? [import]uid: 6175 topic_id: 17144 reply_id: 85447[/import]

It’s my guess that xOrigin and yOrigin move the origin point within the object. Rather moving the object on the stage. Of course changing the origin will make the object move. So they may appear to do the same thing. [import]uid: 98652 topic_id: 17144 reply_id: 85448[/import]
