Hi all,

Glad to join Corona’s community.

I am actually looking to develop an app with (at least) 1D-barcode reading capabilities, so it can be stored in the phone. But judging from the comments in the forums, there is no straight-forward way.

Corona has no barcode function/api. Hope it will be included soon, as I see many uses for it,

Yup, so far you can’t do it. I’m hoping too that corona will include this functionality. The only hope right now is that someone develops a plugin to handle this.
