You have to help!

Hey listern,

i observed that you dont’t reply but now i am in anger…i dont know whether my questions are foolish or what but questions are questions and now i came across to a sample game in corona called as SimplePool…maybe if i understand this code than i can have 50% confusions to be solved so now i will be asking you questions for that so please for god reply and reply in time!..please :frowning:

Hey muskeshwargreat,

I didn’t see your previous posts (and what you were asking there) but let me give you som general advice, how to get the best help in the forums.

  1. Don’t be demanding. Most people in the forums are giving help in their free time, so don’t push or haste them (like you did with “You have to help!”).

  2. Try to discribe your problem as clear as possible. Show what you tried so far and what in particular you don’t understand. The only thing I learn from your post is that you have problems understanding the SimplePool example, but I don’t know, what your problem is. How should somebody help you when they don’t know how to help you?

  3. Structure your post. Make short sentences and use paragraph to split your posts into several sections. Long text lines without structure are hard to read.

Ya thank for your advice but I said I am going to now understand the files of sample Simple pool and if I don’t understand something then please help me and help fast! As usually they take a lot of time!

I will give you links to some tutorials which may help you in several ways:

As Torben said, nobody can guarantee a fast reply. Most of the people who reply regularly on this forum are professional developers who are taking time out of their day to help others, when they could be working on their own projects and earning money to feed themselves and their families.

Your posts are very difficult to understand, so many will skip past them because they simply don’t have time to work out what you are trying to do. Take the time to be **very** clear with your posts if you want a faster response - your time is not more valuable than ours.

And why are you in such a hurry? Becoming a good Corona developer doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a gradual process. There are no shortcuts.

I stopped answering you because you don’t seem to take to heart the advice and requests made of you.  You also seemed very angry.

I am sorry if you are frustrated.  Believe me, I have been frustrated before too, but you simply cannot be abusive, dismissive, angry, and especially not demanding and still expect folks to help you.

Not understanding is not foolish.  Being in a huge hurry and assuming this must be easy kind of is.  Take the slow and steady road and you’ll be much more successful.

Please respond back if you’re having trouble finding the beginning of the slow and steady road and want hints on where to start.

Being in a huge hurry to understand these problems will not move you forward, be happy for the wide community of Corona Users who find the time to help and respond to your questions. Also, try to be a bit more specific… What is the problem you are having with this sample project?
