Your app currently targets API level 27 and must target at least API level 28

I’m using corona simulator 2018.3326 (2018.6.25) to re-build an app I created maybe 2 years ago, and haven’t touched since - the app works fine in the simulator, but when I upload to google play console I’m hit with the below:

“Your app currently targets API level 27 and must target at least API level 28 to ensure that it is built on the latest APIs optimised for security and performance. Change your app’s target API level to at least 28”

Is there anything else I need to install/update to push to API Level 28?

Thanks!

This probably just depends on what plugins you are using and whether some of them have deprecated functionalities, or they are no longer available, or you don’t have an active subscription, etc.

In any case, you need a new version of Corona, so update and see.

I’ve just *seen* the daily builds, rather than the public release build… this may address my issue.

Yes, please use the latest daily build. And you will also need to make sure you have Java JDK 8 installed, which means you may need to downgrade.

I’m having trouble with the corona website loading slowly, and also builds running slowly and returning with

ERROR: unable to fetch build ID:

Similar to this thread - https://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/76410-i-am-getting-exception-in-thread-disconnectableinputstream-source-reader-in-sample-project/

I’ve removed all plugins from the build, but the build console keeps returning with multiple timeouts:

WebServices: Call system.connect failed in 1578910924 seconds: XmlRpcImplementation::execute: Gateway Time-out

WebServices: Call user.login2 failed in 1578911290 seconds: XmlRpcImplementation::execute: Gateway Time-out

WebServices: Call corona.getTime failed in 1578911230 seconds: XmlRpcImplementation::execute: Gateway Time-out

Are there currently server building issues since Friday 10th and today Monday 13th?

Thanks.

Our engineers think they have the build problems solved. Yes there were problems on Friday and over the weekend.

Rob

I’m assuming there may still be problems? I’m seeing a “504 Gateway Time-out” when visiting https://developer.coronalabs.com/downloads/coronasdk - and the corona simulator build is taking about 30 minutes and returning with an error about downloading plugins (no plugins are even needed). I also tried to de-authorise the corona simulator and this also timed out.

The problems seem to have come back today. But I just checked and was able to build without issue.

Rob

Unfortunately continues this morning with timeouts -

WebServices: Call system.connect failed in 1579088389 seconds: XmlRpcImplementation::execute: Gateway Time-out

HTTP/1.1 504 Gateway Time-out

Finally got a build this evening at 5pm!

All services seem to be working at the moment.

Rob

“…at the moment”  :o

Is there any concern about the future of Corona as a product to develop apps? How often is a public version released - I’m not really sure of the infrastructure and team behind the scenes.

I’m going to ask a favor here. This thread is about Android and support of API Level 28. Please move this to one of the other “Can’t build” threads related to this outage.  Let’s not hijack this thread.

Rob

Please use this thread to discuss the server outages.

Have you solved your task eventually? I could help you to find the reason for this problem. I am in your area, check this url. We can discuss it over the phone, I will guide you through the amendment process. Or you can get in touch with me in any other convenient way. I am sure it is possible to fix it remotely if you follow the instructions. Check your mailbox, I left there my contacts.
