Agreed 100%!
Thank you @Bladko for throwing out here such a very good idea.
Cheers,
Rodrigo. [import]uid: 89165 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121553[/import]

3.2.0 works fine for me (haven’t tried the later ones) in both simulator and device.

I’ve uploaded the version I’m using to github, maybe try that?

https://github.com/CraftyDeano/revmob-corona-sdk-3.2.0

Also I’m in England (if its a geo problem). [import]uid: 62706 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 122159[/import]

After 599 posts in this thread, I think it should be put to rest and have a separate forum too!

SDK v3.1.2 is live and seems to fix the ‘fullscreen_web.lua’ bug that was in v3.1.1

http://sdk.revmob.com/downloads/corona/revmob-corona-sdk-3.1.2.zip

3.1.2 - 2012/08/28
[new] Receiving the type of the unit in the event table used in listeners: now it is possible to use a same listener for more than one ad unit: if event.ad then … end.
[update] Listener of banner was renamed to “listener” instead of “adListener”: Banner.create({listener = myListener}). [import]uid: 62706 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121556[/import]

Definitely need a new forum for this. +1

And yes, a stable vs latest release version would be good, not least because I’m a little dubious about the very latest version being approved by Apple … very low internet (but not none) seems to hang the app (regardless of whether I use the listener or not). Has anyone had any problems re : approval? Don’t get me wrong, if Revmob works for me I will travel the world extolling their virtues, but the constant updates to the SDK make me a little wary …

Have had a really low install rate lately so I decided to try and install an advertised app myself. I clicked my fullscreen ad, installed, and ran the app. This is what I did before to test once or twice and the result would be visible on the dashboard within a minute. Now I have tested three times today and the installs haven’t shown up for 5 hours now. I feel like my user are getting many more installs than are showing and that RevMob is cheating us out of our money!

If this isn’t resolved TODAY. I am leaving you RevMob. [import]uid: 164950 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121584[/import]

I’m using 3.2.0 and I’m in the UK too. Still no joy. [import]uid: 87794 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 122189[/import]

@intoitgames I’ve had quite a good experience with RevMob not counting the last week or so. FYI they also paid me on time as well, but I used bank wire rather than paypal, which is easier for them.

The reality of the matter is that they are a start up, and for the first time in their existence, they’re feeling the pain of being stretched beyond their capacity. They spent too much time and effort courting developers instead of advertisers and simply do not have enough ads for everyone right now. Not to mention the large number of requests for ads is probably putting a lot of stress on their servers as well.

If you expect that to be resolved in one day, you might as well leave now. This is going to take them time, and we’re going to be feeling the pain for quite a bit. I’d be surprised if we were back up to the $7-8 eCPM we had before even a month from now. That’s reality, regardless of how anyone tries to spin it. [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121589[/import]

@Puzzle Runner – that’s quite accurate!!! Wow  However, we usually learn and move really fast. We expect eCPM to go back to normal in a few days at the most. It’s actually already recovering.

@intoitgames – We’re fixing it as fast as we can. We know the solution. And I really think eCPM can recover its magic really soon. Thanks for the honest feedback! [import]uid: 137117 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121591[/import]

Thanks for the replies. Sorry for my outburst, I know its hard for you RevMob guys as well. I was just mad about some other things in my day today so I apologize. [import]uid: 164950 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121592[/import]

For now, I’ve turned off RevMob. I’m using the latest version (3.1.2) of the RevMob SDK, and there is still an issue with the app freezing for about 1s at startup when RevMob starts up and shows an ad. Sometimes the freeze lasts 5-10s when the network connection is weak. Once this is fixed, I will turn it back on. Thankfully, I’ve written my code so that I can turn off RevMob completely from the server side.

RevMob, are you aware of this issue? [import]uid: 92621 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121614[/import]

I have been emailing Revmob regarding the freezing issues and they are investigating btw.

They have some sample code from myself to check too.

It turns out the freeze is when RevMob.startSession is called and this ‘pauses’ the app 7-10 seconds on edge/2g network while it does a few checks.

@intoitgames I had the same problem I was having zero installs for the day so I had my friend download and install tiny kingdom. The install never registered on my dashboard. So you have every right to be concerned that other installs are not registering and you are losing money.

[import]uid: 75779 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121656[/import]

@poon, @CraftyDeano – I asked the SDK team to verify, thanks for the feedback!

@rmckee282002 – If you can get me the exact name of that app, we can remove their campaigns! Thanks!

“Tap Paradise Cove” [import]uid: 75779 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121662[/import]

@rmckee282002 & @guischv.

The last two days I was testing our new app in combination with revmob.
I can confirm than I get impressions and they are registered in the revmob dashboard.
I installed two games (and played them) on my device but NO registration in the revmob dashboard, no installs and no revenue. [import]uid: 106768 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121670[/import]

@ivke2006 – please confirm the name of the apps! in order to preserve the privacy of our advertisers, could you please send over via e-mail? gui@revmob.com thanks! [import]uid: 137117 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121673[/import]

Yeps,
Its is getting worse surely. All my iOS apps still do not display any RevMobs Ads. I made 0.07c during one day with after the dashboard says that I got around 60 installs and millions of clicks.

I`m feeling really bad right now.

Rodrigo. [import]uid: 89165 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121681[/import]

Rodrigo, millions of clicks in one day would generate way more than 60 installs and 7c of revenue. Can you please send a screenshot so that we can take a look. Thanks, Gui [import]uid: 137117 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121682[/import]

@Gui

Look Gui, I`ve used above a “language expression” only, so do not take it as an official statistic.

What I want to mean is that RevMob never worked like am seeing now and so I have to complain because it is exactly what I did and do all the time regarding CoronaSDKs ads company partners (inMobi and Inneractive) that are more than crap IMHO and it is not going to change! So, am only wondering if RevMob will walk that way like those companies, because if it will...Its me that will move out as well again, you have only to be honest and advice us here how long it would take to be as it was 1 week ago (at least), nothing else.

PS: you do not need screenshots as the problem is general for all of us using RevMob and you know that…so first you should get it resolved (just look for the tiltle of this forum post - it looks as a lie right now for anyone that wishes to join).
Thanks,
Rodrigo. [import]uid: 89165 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121683[/import]

Rodrigo, I was just trying to address your complaint. Thanks for clarifying though. That said, we’re working hard to increase the eCPM and we expect that in a few days everything will be a lot better. Sorry for the inconvenience, guys! [import]uid: 137117 topic_id: 25797 reply_id: 121691[/import]
