12 months 12 games

It’s been too long since I’ve written something here :S Been really busy this summer.
But I have some exciting news :smiley:

Our new game will be sent to Apple and Google Play in just a few days. Really looking forward to share it here on the forums :slight_smile:

Hi everyone!

We have just released a new game called Colorlane! and I would love to get your opinion about it.

Here’s the game description:

Colorlane is the game where the lanes have multiple colors and so does your character.

To be able to drive on the lanes you must jump and change color so you match the lane you’re landing on.

High speed and everchanging colors make you sit on the edge with a high pulse tapping away to make those hard jumps. With only one shot to make it, how far can you get?

I made a trailer from the game you can watch here:

You can find the game here:

Great looking concept. Interesting to see the progression of your games too - none are too much of a leap from the previous and there are definitely similarities with other games, but these last few concepts have been quite unique. Nice to see somebody who isn’t just repeating existing games.

Just one negative from me - I see the latest is a paid game, but also includes in-game ads? I personally would be annoyed as a gamer if I still had to endure adverts after paying for the game itself. I suppose I consider adverts as being in lieu of payment, so it’s a one-or-the-other thing for me. Oddly I’m less bothered about paid games that contain IAP items though.

@richard11

Thanks for the feedback :slight_smile:
When it comes to the ads I will just say that it isn’t ads between matches or anything like that. Some of the levels in the game are quite long and you only have one shot. But you can continue where you died if you watch an ad, so at least it’s not something you have to do.

I’m thinking about implementing iaps where you can buy 5 “retries” or something similar.

A paid game = no ads, no iap.  Quite a fundamental rule.

@sgs thanks for the feedback!
I will create a new release with no ads :slight_smile: I totally agree with both of you, it’s just that I felt there had to be a “down side” for receiving a second chance.

Being honest, your game looks like any other free game.  There is nothing premium about it.

You could get much more from free with ads and IAP than paid.

@SGS

It’s just that ads sucks. I really hate ads…

I appreciate your opinion and time will show if releasing the game as paid is a mistake or not :slight_smile:

Good luck with it - working on a game now that has no ads but a pay wall (play half the game, pay to play the other half) really concerned about how it will do. You might consider that as an option. Game looks good, but paying for a game with so much free stuff is a big choice for me…

@joelutting

Thanks!

That might be an option yes. I will wait a little while and see how it goes.

@SGS and @richard11

Now the ads are completely gone from Google Play. Still waiting for Apple to approve it.
The download size went from around 20mb to 10mb so that’s also really great :slight_smile:

That’s quite a big drop :no_mouth:

Colorlane! has been featured by Apple :smiley: This is the second game in row we have released that Apple has featured :smiley:

I think it’s featured in 22 countries under “New games we love” :smiley:

I anyone is interested I’ve droppen the price 50% :slight_smile:

Congrats again!

Clearly you are doing it right!
