My internet is working fine and I could find any reason on why it should not work the password and username is also correct

I am using windows Xp with service pack 3. and the corona build number is CoronaSDK-2014.2511.

also attaching a image with the error .

Hope you can help me soon.

Thanks,

Max

Hi @maxcoronasmart,

Please confirm that you’re not behind an Internet firewall, not using a proxy, and that there isn’t some 3rd-party program (anti-spyware, etc.) that may be blocking the application’s attempt to connect.

Hi Brent,

Thank you for the reply, I tried all the mentioned trouble shooting steps but still the issue is not solved. I had a previous version installed on the same machine with a different user name .it was not deauthorized before it was uninstalled. Do you think that might be the problem. If so what should i do next.

Thanks,

Max

Hi @maxcoronasmart,

I don’t think it’s anything related to the previous username, but can you post that username so I can look it up?

When you used that previous account, were you able to connect successfully?

Brent

Hi Brent,

My previous username was a Pro account that expired last year, I tried to login with it but get the same error. I was hoping to brush up on corona and start a new project. Is there any other trouble shooting method.

Thanks

Max

Hi Max,

This still appears more like a system issue on your side, because it’s reporting that it simply can’t connect. If it was an issue with your account, the message would be related to how your account credentials were “incorrect” or something like that. By chance, do you have any other computer from which you can attempt to install Corona and log in?

Brent

Hi I’m having the same problem, and anything that I tried works.

  • Deactivate the antivir/firewal/proxy.

  • Set the Internet Explorer TSL option and unset the “Work Offline” mode.

Every moment the same error:

“Could not connect to server. Please check your internet connection.”

Windows 7 here. Latest version of Corona. Downloaded it yesterday!

Please read this thread:

http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/52844-problem-with-new-corona-build

Do the test suggested by Perry Clark later in the thread where you try to use Internet Explorer to hit a specific address at Corona Labs.

Thanks

Rob

Yes, I did. It says “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.”.

Anyone?

What happens if you try and build one of the Sample Apps, like Hello World?

Rob

The same thing. When I hit “Corona Editor > Run Project” on Sublime Text, it opens Corona Simulator and I need to make login to continue, and it isn’t possible because it gives the same error message “Could not connect to server.  Please check your Internet Connection”.

Run the Corona Simulator outside of Sublime text.  Do a File->Preferences->Deauthorize & Quit (Mac will be under the Corona Simulator menu).

And try it again.

Rob

If I run the Corona Simulator outside, I need to pass by the same process of “Login”, and so it doesn’t works. I can’t access disabled “File” option before it.

Anyone? I’m around one month trying only to test corona without any sucess.

Hi @engenheiro.lenz,

The account which you’re posting from (here in the forums) does not have any computers associated with it for development. Can you please e-mail me your specific development account details? I will need this information so I can investigate the issue. You can send the information to brent [at] coronalabs [dot] com.

To confirm, you are still on Windows 7, correct?

Thanks,

Brent
