Could not connect to server

Hi Max,

This still appears more like a system issue on your side, because it’s reporting that it simply can’t connect. If it was an issue with your account, the message would be related to how your account credentials were “incorrect” or something like that. By chance, do you have any other computer from which you can attempt to install Corona and log in?

Brent

Hi I’m having the same problem, and anything that I tried works.

  • Deactivate the antivir/firewal/proxy.

  • Set the Internet Explorer TSL option and unset the “Work Offline” mode.

Every moment the same error:

“Could not connect to server. Please check your internet connection.”

Windows 7 here. Latest version of Corona. Downloaded it yesterday!

Please read this thread:

http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/52844-problem-with-new-corona-build

Do the test suggested by Perry Clark later in the thread where you try to use Internet Explorer to hit a specific address at Corona Labs.

Thanks

Rob

Yes, I did. It says “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.”.

Anyone?

What happens if you try and build one of the Sample Apps, like Hello World?

Rob

help. I have the same problem. Do not connect

@info6819, we will need more information.  What version of Corona SDK are you using?  What operating system are you on?  Can you post a screen shot of the error?  Are there more messages of use in the terminal window that opens?

Rob

The same thing. When I hit “Corona Editor > Run Project” on Sublime Text, it opens Corona Simulator and I need to make login to continue, and it isn’t possible because it gives the same error message “Could not connect to server.  Please check your Internet Connection”.

Run the Corona Simulator outside of Sublime text.  Do a File->Preferences->Deauthorize & Quit (Mac will be under the Corona Simulator menu).

And try it again.

Rob

If I run the Corona Simulator outside, I need to pass by the same process of “Login”, and so it doesn’t works. I can’t access disabled “File” option before it.

Same problem here too… “Could not connect to server”… Firewall exception has been created for “Corona Simulator” but connection still failed… Is there any working solution for this error?!

Anyone? I’m around one month trying only to test corona without any sucess.

Hi @engenheiro.lenz,

The account which you’re posting from (here in the forums) does not have any computers associated with it for development. Can you please e-mail me your specific development account details? I will need this information so I can investigate the issue. You can send the information to brent [at] coronalabs [dot] com.

To confirm, you are still on Windows 7, correct?

Thanks,

Brent

Can you post more information about your situation?   What operating system are you using?  What build of Corona SDK are you using?

If you’re on Windows can you use Internet Explorer and try to go to this URL:   https://developer.coronalabs.com/services/xmlrpc

Rob

I’m using Windows XP (SP2). Corona SDK version is 2014.2511.

When I go to the given URL I get “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only”.

What now?

Can you try and build our Hello World sample app?

Well, I can’t build app 'cause I can’t install Corona Editor…

I tried to follow the install instruction but when I choose “Package Control: Install Package” SublimeText drops an error message: “There are no packages available for installation”…

You don’t need Corona Editor to run Corona SDK.  You can run the Corona Simulator by itself and make sure you can run it and build.  Then worry about Corona Editor as a separate step.

Rob

It’s ok but as I wrote I can’t log in to Corona… and if login failed the only option is Quit…
