Could not connect to server

Can you open up your network connections and see if there is a proxy set up?

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-internet-explorer-proxy-server-settings#1TC=windows-7

Disable the proxy so you go directly to our servers.

Rob

There is no proxy set up and I turned off firewall too but nothing changed… maybe my ISP blocks the connection?..

Can you try on a different network connection or from a different computer?

When Corona starts, it should be opening a command terminal behind the simluator.  Are there any additional messages there that might help us?

Rob

I tried on a different computer (Win XP) but result is the same - “Could not connect…” (though ISP was the same).

Command terminal looks like this:

"Windows simulator build date: Nov 18 2014 @ 18:35:32

Warning: unknown skin label ‘’

Platform: GT-I9300 / x86 / 5.1 / ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series / 3.3.11672 Compatibility Profile Context / 2014.2511

WARNING: display.setStatusBarMode() not supported in the simulator for GT-I9300device"

ISP problem?..

is one of your computers a laptop that you can go to a coffee shop and try there to get your internet out of the equation?

Ok I will try a hotspot, though I suspect that a public internet access is more limited than a home one. But who knows…

Had same problem, solved resetting the IE options to factory settings in Internet Options -> Security

Hope it can helps

help. I have the same problem. Do not connect

@info6819, we will need more information.  What version of Corona SDK are you using?  What operating system are you on?  Can you post a screen shot of the error?  Are there more messages of use in the terminal window that opens?

Rob

Same problem here too… “Could not connect to server”… Firewall exception has been created for “Corona Simulator” but connection still failed… Is there any working solution for this error?!

Can you post more information about your situation?   What operating system are you using?  What build of Corona SDK are you using?

If you’re on Windows can you use Internet Explorer and try to go to this URL:   https://developer.coronalabs.com/services/xmlrpc

Rob

I’m using Windows XP (SP2). Corona SDK version is 2014.2511.

When I go to the given URL I get “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only”.

What now?

Can you try and build our Hello World sample app?

Well, I can’t build app 'cause I can’t install Corona Editor…

I tried to follow the install instruction but when I choose “Package Control: Install Package” SublimeText drops an error message: “There are no packages available for installation”…

You don’t need Corona Editor to run Corona SDK.  You can run the Corona Simulator by itself and make sure you can run it and build.  Then worry about Corona Editor as a separate step.

Rob

It’s ok but as I wrote I can’t log in to Corona… and if login failed the only option is Quit…
