Difference between legacy and new Admob plugin

I can’t seem to find any information on this. Is the new Admob plugin using the latest Admob SDK from Google?  Trying to decide whether to pay for the subscription.  Can we expect native ads feature to be incorporated soon?

We will be investigating support for Native Ads, however there’s no ETA at the moment.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Just to clarify. For Native Ads, I am referring to Native Ads Express which is very similar to a traditional banner in terms of implementation. Hope to see this feature soon.
