Error building Fuse/AdRally

Hi All,

I’ve contacted Fuse about this and they are looking into it. Still, has anyone else experienced this?

No luck getting Fuse/AdRally to work. Perhaps I missed an integration step?

I have “Enable Analytics and Monetization” checked in the build dialogue.

Corona SDK version 2731 Xcode 7.0.

The Xcode console shows:

FUSESDK ERROR:

Error starting Fuse session.  The app ID is invalid

Nov 11 11:01:59  Fuse[4752] <Warning>: ERROR: fuse.init(): Application key is invalid, unable to initialize.

fuse.init( fuseListener ) is somewhat baffling in the sample app.

Ad network initialization in all my Corona apps looks like this:

ads.init(“iads”, bundleID, AdListener)
ads.init(“vungle”, vungleID, AdListener)
ads.init(“admob”, adMobID, AdListener)

Yet no ID is necessary for fuse.init( fuseListener )

fuse.init() here: https://docs.coronalabs.com/plugin/fuse/init.html shows:
fuse.init( listener ) – Corona SDK
fuse.init( apiKey, listener ) – Corona Enterprise

I even tried registering an app on the Fuse dashboard and tried the latest daily build (2767) - no luck!

Also, in the sample app there are these lines:

if ( application.metadata ) then
    appID = application.metadata.appKey

in getproperty.lua. I can’t see where the table/variable “application” comes from?!

Anyone?!

Thanks!

I spoke with an engineer on this and it seems that you get the AppID automatically but it has to be setup. Since we haven’t opened this up for self service yet, only closed beta where the team sets up things for you, this is likely the cause of this.

If you want to join the closed beta, please read: https://coronalabs.com/blog/2015/05/26/soft-launch-fuse-powered-for-corona-developers/

And apply to join the closed beta.

Hi Rob,

I am registered with Fuse and have my Corona and Fuse accounts linked as per the setup instructions.

Or so I thought…

It turns out that I needed to deauthorize and quit Corona as I had registered Corona with the incorrect email address!

Glad you have it working…
