[FIXED] Daily Build 1150 - "Project requires certain plugins to run properly" box on each restart on Windows Simulator

Hi!

Each time I start or restart my project, I get the message box:

“Project requires certain plugins to run properly”-

“Do you wish to download these plugins for the simulator?”

It does not matter whether I click “Not now” or “Download”, the box reappears on the next restart as well. I see some warnings (related to ad support on simulator), but no error messages in the console.

When clicking download a progress bar shows up shortly, but I do not know if the download was successful.

This behaviour happens for me since downloading Daily Build 1150 (before I think I had 1147) on Windows Simulator.

Thx!

This happens on all build after 1149. 1148 is the last one that doesn’t have it - I’d suspect it’s related to the ‘Core: Add plugin version management to shell.lua.’ change made in 1149.

I am seeing it as well, build 1150

Hmmm, I wonder what’s causing that.

What plugin(s) are you including in your project?

Ah, makes sense that reporting that would’ve been the smart thing to do… I have only the bit plugin included, so it’s probably the culprit?

Thank you for reporting this problem. Please try build 1152.

Will try and report if it’s fixed as soon as it comes out. Thanks!

Hi!

With build 1152 the problem does not happen to me anymore.

Thx!

But interestingly the “Welcome Screen” is only a black screen without any infos anymore… (which is not that big of a problem for me)…

Try 1153 and let us know if the black Welcome Screen is still an issue.

Hi, I’ve tried 1157 and the Welcome Screen is back and alive again!

Thx!

I use 1159 and the annoying Download Plugins popup appears again every time :frowning:

@whammy: I can’t reproduce the problem with 1159.

Please erase the content of your Plugins folder and report back if the problem persist.

On Mac, I’m referring to this folder:

    “/Users/my_user_name/Library/Application Support/Corona/Simulator/Plugins”

On Windows, it might be this folder, depending on the version of Windows you’re using:

    “C:\Documents and Settings\my_user_name\Application Data\Corona Labs\Corona Simulator\Plugins”

Thank you.

Try 1153 and let us know if the black Welcome Screen is still an issue.
